Stephen Karp

Stephen Karp is Chief Investment Officer at Aurelius LP, where he directs investment strategy and financial planning for business owners, executives, and high-net-worth families. Drawing on decades of experience across corporate leadership and private advisory, he brings a disciplined, solutions-oriented approach to building and preserving wealth.

Prior to joining Aurelius, Stephen was a Partner at Karp Financial Strategies, a boutique advisory firm he founded to serve both individuals and growing businesses. There, he specialized in comprehensive financial planning, executive benefit design, and business strategy—advising clients on everything from incentive plan development to succession planning and operational optimization.

Earlier in his career, Stephen held executive roles at ABC News, CBS, Ryder, and Spherion, with leadership across finance, HR, sales, and operations. He also served as a Senior Managing Consultant at Mullin Consulting, where he advised Fortune 1000 clients on executive compensation and benefits.

Stephen holds a BS from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Finance from NYU. He is a licensed insurance agent and holds Series 7 and 66 registrations, along with a Certificate in Retirement Planning from Wharton. He has authored articles on topics such as deferred compensation, 529 plans, and long-term disability, and has presented to congressional staff on employee benefits. Stephen lives in South Florida with his family, where he has been based for more than 30 years.
