Peter Dolgoff

Peter Dolgoff serves as Partner, Business Tax Strategy at Aurelius Legacy Partners, where he brings more than five decades of experience in executive compensation, business tax strategy, insurance, and financial services. He is the President of The Dolgoff Plan Corporation, a firm he has led since 1992, and has dedicated his career to helping successful business owners and their tax advisors evaluate sophisticated planning structures designed to support tax efficiency, business continuity, and long-term wealth creation. 

Peter’s work is rooted in a planning legacy that began with his father, Ralph Dolgoff, a New York CPA who first developed The Dolgoff Plan in 1962. Peter worked closely with Ralph for more than 38 years and has continued to advance the firm’s methodology through education, professional collaboration, and direct planning with business owners and their advisory teams.

Recognized nationally for his expertise in executive compensation and advanced business planning, Peter has been a featured speaker at conventions, conferences, and continuing education seminars for CPAs, enrolled agents, tax and estate attorneys, investment professionals, insurance specialists, and organizations including NACPAF and NAIFA. Through this work, he has helped professionals across the country better understand how properly coordinated planning can create meaningful opportunities for privately held businesses and their owners. 

Peter is also the author of Saving Tax Dollars: A Plan for Every Successful Business Owner & Tax Advisor, with a revised edition published in 2025. His writing and seminars reflect the same philosophy that guides his client work: advanced planning should be thoughtful, compliant, collaborative, and fully integrated with the broader financial, tax, legal, and business objectives of the client.
